Post Election Malaise.

OK, on the bright side, I’m very happy to see the hyper-arrogant Nancy Pelosi lose her job as Speaker of the House….. That’s about it.

Not only do we still have the smug Barbara Boxer as Senator, not only do we still have AB 32, the climate emissions bill that mimics the failed Kyoto treaty and will do nothing but drive more business away than it attracts, not only did J Brown win, but it looks like prop 25, which will allow the Kali govt to pass taxes with only a bare majority of the legislative vote instead of a 2/3rd majority, has also passed….. Welcome To Taxiformia!

It is time to take a hard look at relocating to another state. I have been a life long California resident and love the climate, but this election has just proven to me how many liberal wacko idiots there are here and I am fed up with it. Texas anyone?

We did better in WA. While we didn’t get rid of D-Patty Murray in the Senate, we did shoot down a state income tax, and re-instated a supermajoirty vote needed for any tax increases or new taxes (this had been instituted a few years ago, but the legislature decided it wasn’t a good idea and just did away with it, against the will of the voters). And we repealed a sin tax on candy and soft drinks.

So now, Gov Gregoire is at a loss as to what to do for money. Of course, the only programs she can think of to cut are health care and education. Not public art projects, road projects, etc.

Western WA is a really nice place to live. Sure it’s overcast much of the fall and winter, but the rest of the time it’s tits.

They also elected SF mayor Gavin Newsome to Lt Gov who didn’t do anything to make things better in SF and DA Kamala Harris to Atty Gen who doesn’t believe in the death penalty (ala Rose Bird) and won’t pursue it to use it on cop killers and a gang member who gunned down a father and his two sons over a road rage incident.
I have a vision of things getting worse before they get better.
