From blogging.

I just can’t seem to find anything to write about, so I won’t even try. Hey, I’m the boss – I can do that.

The gig in San Diego was great, with an exception. The gig was held at a new high school baseball field. The people planning the event somehow didn’t bother to provide personnel to prep the area for the concert, so fellow bandmate Mike Elliot and I had to move a bunch of portable barriers around to accommodate the field for the event. We also ended up having to set up the risersĀ  that would serve as the two stages. We thought they would be set up when we got to the field at 11:30 am. They didn’t even bring them out until about 1:30. And they had no idea that there were more than one height. We had small medium and large, and not enough of any one size to form a complete stage. Through some creative riser stacking, we manages to create two stages. Thing is, usually the band doesn’t do this kind of work.

Oh well.

On the bright side, we got to set the sound gear for a jazz ensemble, complete with horns and a flute. I had never done that before. It was cool.
