Without Tesla&#8217;s innovative spark, the modern world would be a very different place. Since all our electrical energy is supplied via Tesla&#8217;s Alternating Current, and there would almost certainly be no TV, no Internet, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.slate.com\/id\/2162106\/&amp;#bulbs\">energy saving fluorescent bulbs<\/a>, or washing machines. The spark plug and coil system under the hood of you car is a direct descendant of Tesla&#8217;s work. Tesla&#8217;s work on the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tfcbooks.com\/teslafaq\/q&amp;a_024.htm\">electronic AND gate<\/a> paved the way for the computer processor. It is likely he invented the radio ahead of inventor <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pbs.org\/tesla\/ll\/ll_whoradio.html\">Guglielmo Marconi<\/a>. He even invented a &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.rense.com\/general10\/deathray.htm\">Death Ray<\/a>&#8221; (I want one).
