We Made This!!!<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Tenaya_Lake\">Tenaya Lake<\/a> in Yosemite National Park, which is only a 1 1\/2 hour&#8217;s drive from Fresno. You can drive by the lake on Highway 140 and take pictures from there, but we go ours from the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.yosemitehikes.com\/tioga-road\/tenaya-lake\/trail-map.htm\">southern point of the trail<\/a> (red line at tip of 90\u00b0 angle). Greg used &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/hugin.sourceforge.net\/\">Hugin<\/a>&#8221; an open source program, to stitch together these three pictures to make the panoramic view you see in the header.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone\" title=\"pic 1\" src=\"http:\/\/lh4.ggpht.com\/sonicfrog2.0\/SOr7ivPfrXI\/AAAAAAAAAEk\/O-Iq2O0-1kY\/s720\/09282008266.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"330\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone\" title=\"pic 2\" src=\"http:\/\/lh3.ggpht.com\/sonicfrog2.0\/SOr7jUCDe5I\/AAAAAAAAAFE\/gd_uYP4B-ho\/s720\/09282008269.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"330\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone\" title=\"pic 3\" src=\"http:\/\/lh5.ggpht.com\/sonicfrog2.0\/SOr7jP_mRyI\/AAAAAAAAAEo\/qkUKwlGIX2s\/s720\/09282008268.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"330\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This was our fifth Yosemite hike. We have conquered <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Half_Dome\">Half Dome<\/a>, twice, and hiked to Upper and Lower <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Yosemite_Falls\">Yosemite Falls<\/a>. We normally go on our annual hike in the spring, but because of the time constraints of my student teaching, we didn&#8217;t go until last week-end. It was worth it. We hiked from Tenaya Lake to Clouds Rest. I had never been in Yosemite in the fall, and let me tell you, the colors were stunning!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone\" title=\"colors1\" src=\"http:\/\/lh5.ggpht.com\/sonicfrog2.0\/SOuo0802XlI\/AAAAAAAAAGU\/PHhvjnvF-YM\/s720\/09282008237.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"330\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone\" title=\"colors2\" src=\"http:\/\/lh6.ggpht.com\/sonicfrog2.0\/SOuozxpPApI\/AAAAAAAAAGM\/qj9TXrT0bUQ\/s720\/09282008234.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"330\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We hiked to the top of Clouds Rest&#8230; well almost. Greg was having problems with his knee, and there were rain clouds building, so we had to turn around. I&#8217;m going to put together more of these panoramic shots, and have the header images vary at login.
