here.<\/p>\n<p>Consider it posted.<\/p>\n<p>I have worked hard to rebuild my credit in the aftermath of the Great Recession.<span id=\"u_fetchstream_30_b\" class=\"_ezo\"><\/span>\u00a0But,<span id=\"u_fetchstream_30_c\" class=\"_ezo\"><\/span>\u00a0being me,<span id=\"u_fetchstream_30_d\" class=\"_ezo\"><\/span>\u00a0I have weird problems;<span id=\"u_fetchstream_30_e\" class=\"_ezo\"><\/span>\u00a0nothing goes normal.<span id=\"u_fetchstream_30_f\" class=\"_ezo\"><\/span>Somehow,<span id=\"u_fetchstream_30_g\" class=\"_ezo\"><\/span>\u00a0Experian had my credit at a\u00a0<span id=\"u_fetchstream_30_h\" class=\"_ezo\"><\/span>0<span id=\"u_fetchstream_30_i\" class=\"_ezo\"><\/span>\u00a0rating,<span id=\"u_fetchstream_30_j\" class=\"_ezo\"><\/span>\u00a0and that cost me due to the high interest rate I ended up with when I bought my car a couple of years ago.<span id=\"u_fetchstream_30_k\" class=\"_ezo\"><\/span>\u00a0I didn&#8217;t think that much about it and thought it was a blip,<span id=\"u_fetchstream_30_l\" class=\"_ezo\"><\/span>\u00a0a failure on the part of the dealership I purchased the car from.<span id=\"u_fetchstream_30_m\" class=\"_ezo\"><\/span>\u00a0I registered on Credit Karma,<span id=\"u_fetchstream_30_n\" class=\"_ezo\"><\/span>\u00a0and there was no hint o<span class=\"text_exposed_show\">f a\u00a0<span id=\"u_fetchstream_30_o\" class=\"_ezo\"><\/span>0<span id=\"u_fetchstream_30_p\" class=\"_ezo\"><\/span>\u00a0credit score there,<span id=\"u_fetchstream_30_q\" class=\"_ezo\"><\/span>\u00a0so I forgot about it.<span id=\"u_fetchstream_30_r\" class=\"_ezo\"><\/span>\u00a0Meanwhile,<span id=\"u_fetchstream_30_s\" class=\"_ezo\"><\/span>\u00a0I&#8217;ve been on a credit repair program with my bank,<span id=\"u_fetchstream_30_t\" class=\"_ezo\"><\/span>including a secured credit card,<span id=\"u_fetchstream_30_u\" class=\"_ezo\"><\/span>\u00a0for a couple of years.<span id=\"u_fetchstream_30_v\" class=\"_ezo\"><\/span>\u00a0By this summer,<span id=\"u_fetchstream_30_w\" class=\"_ezo\"><\/span>\u00a0my credit score had gone a hundred points,<span id=\"u_fetchstream_30_x\" class=\"_ezo\"><\/span>\u00a0and all looked good.<span id=\"u_fetchstream_30_y\" class=\"_ezo\"><\/span>.<span id=\"u_fetchstream_30_z\" class=\"_ezo\"><\/span>.<span id=\"u_fetchstream_30_10\" class=\"_ezo\"><\/span>\u00a0Until.<span id=\"u_fetchstream_30_11\" class=\"_ezo\"><\/span>.<span id=\"u_fetchstream_30_12\" class=\"_ezo\"><\/span>.<span id=\"u_fetchstream_30_13\" class=\"_ezo\"><\/span><br \/>\n<span id=\"u_fetchstream_30_14\" class=\"_ezo\"><\/span><br \/>\nIn July,<span id=\"u_fetchstream_30_15\" class=\"_ezo\"><\/span>\u00a0I went to the bank to upgrade my credit.<span id=\"u_fetchstream_30_16\" class=\"_ezo\"><\/span>\u00a0I applied and found out the\u00a0<span id=\"u_fetchstream_30_17\" class=\"_ezo\"><\/span>0<span id=\"u_fetchstream_30_18\" class=\"_ezo\"><\/span>\u00a0score was not a blip,<span id=\"u_fetchstream_30_19\" class=\"_ezo\"><\/span>\u00a0but a real score that kept me from getting the credit card upgrade.<span id=\"u_fetchstream_30_1a\" class=\"_ezo\"><\/span>\u00a0I contacted Experian and eventually got that problem resolved.<span id=\"u_fetchstream_30_1b\" class=\"_ezo\"><\/span>\u00a0They had no idea why my score was\u00a0<span id=\"u_fetchstream_30_1c\" class=\"_ezo\"><\/span>0<span id=\"u_fetchstream_30_1d\" class=\"_ezo\"><\/span>,<span id=\"u_fetchstream_30_1e\" class=\"_ezo\"><\/span>\u00a0but it got fixed.<span id=\"u_fetchstream_30_1f\" class=\"_ezo\"><\/span>\u00a0So,<span id=\"u_fetchstream_30_1g\" class=\"_ezo\"><\/span>\u00a0in late September,<span id=\"u_fetchstream_30_1h\" class=\"_ezo\"><\/span>\u00a0I went back to the bank,<span id=\"u_fetchstream_30_1i\" class=\"_ezo\"><\/span>\u00a0and this time everything looked good.<span id=\"u_fetchstream_30_1j\" class=\"_ezo\"><\/span>My unsecured credit card was approved.<span id=\"u_fetchstream_30_1k\" class=\"_ezo\"><\/span>\u00a0They would close the secured account,<span id=\"u_fetchstream_30_1l\" class=\"_ezo\"><\/span>\u00a0and I would get the regular card in a couple of weeks.<span id=\"u_fetchstream_30_1m\" class=\"_ezo\"><\/span><br \/>\n<span id=\"u_fetchstream_30_1n\" class=\"_ezo\"><\/span><br \/>\nA couple of weeks passed.<span id=\"u_fetchstream_30_1o\" class=\"_ezo\"><\/span>\u00a0No card in the mail.<span id=\"u_fetchstream_30_1p\" class=\"_ezo\"><\/span>\u00a0Another week,<span id=\"u_fetchstream_30_1q\" class=\"_ezo\"><\/span>\u00a0and then another week went by.<span id=\"u_fetchstream_30_1r\" class=\"_ezo\"><\/span>\u00a0I finally called the bank,<span id=\"u_fetchstream_30_1s\" class=\"_ezo\"><\/span>\u00a0and they don&#8217;t know what happened,<span id=\"u_fetchstream_30_1t\" class=\"_ezo\"><\/span>\u00a0but they don&#8217;t have record of the card getting issued.<span id=\"u_fetchstream_30_1u\" class=\"_ezo\"><\/span>\u00a0So now I have to reapply.<span id=\"u_fetchstream_30_1v\" class=\"_ezo\"><\/span>\u00a0<span id=\"u_fetchstream_30_1w\" class=\"_ezo\"><\/span><br \/>\n<span id=\"u_fetchstream_30_1x\" class=\"_ezo\"><\/span><br \/>\nBut,<span id=\"u_fetchstream_30_1y\" class=\"_ezo\"><\/span>\u00a0SURPRISE!<span id=\"u_fetchstream_30_1z\" class=\"_ezo\"><\/span>!<span id=\"u_fetchstream_30_20\" class=\"_ezo\"><\/span>!<span id=\"u_fetchstream_30_21\" class=\"_ezo\"><\/span>!<span id=\"u_fetchstream_30_22\" class=\"_ezo\"><\/span>!<span id=\"u_fetchstream_30_23\" class=\"_ezo\"><\/span>!<span id=\"u_fetchstream_30_24\" class=\"_ezo\"><\/span>!<span id=\"u_fetchstream_30_25\" class=\"_ezo\"><\/span>!<span id=\"u_fetchstream_30_26\" class=\"_ezo\"><\/span>!<span id=\"u_fetchstream_30_27\" class=\"_ezo\"><\/span>\u00a0Now there is a problem.<span id=\"u_fetchstream_30_28\" class=\"_ezo\"><\/span>\u00a0<span id=\"u_fetchstream_30_29\" class=\"_ezo\"><\/span><br \/>\n<span id=\"u_fetchstream_30_2a\" class=\"_ezo\"><\/span><br \/>\nBecause of all the inquiries to fix my\u00a0<span id=\"u_fetchstream_30_2b\" class=\"_ezo\"><\/span>0<span id=\"u_fetchstream_30_2c\" class=\"_ezo\"><\/span>\u00a0credit score,<span id=\"u_fetchstream_30_2d\" class=\"_ezo\"><\/span>\u00a0two inquiries to get the new card,<span id=\"u_fetchstream_30_2e\" class=\"_ezo\"><\/span>\u00a0and the closing of my secured card account,<span id=\"u_fetchstream_30_2f\" class=\"_ezo\"><\/span>\u00a0that caused my credit score to dip\u00a0<span id=\"u_fetchstream_30_2g\" class=\"_ezo\"><\/span>2<span id=\"u_fetchstream_30_2h\" class=\"_ezo\"><\/span>0<span id=\"u_fetchstream_30_2i\" class=\"_ezo\"><\/span>\u00a0points.<span id=\"u_fetchstream_30_2j\" class=\"_ezo\"><\/span>\u00a0And gee,<span id=\"u_fetchstream_30_2k\" class=\"_ezo\"><\/span>\u00a0that cause my score to go down\u00a0<span id=\"u_fetchstream_30_2l\" class=\"_ezo\"><\/span>2<span id=\"u_fetchstream_30_2m\" class=\"_ezo\"><\/span>0<span id=\"u_fetchstream_30_2n\" class=\"_ezo\"><\/span>points,<span id=\"u_fetchstream_30_2o\" class=\"_ezo\"><\/span>\u00a0which puts me below the threshold to get the new card.<span id=\"u_fetchstream_30_2p\" class=\"_ezo\"><\/span><br \/>\n<span id=\"u_fetchstream_30_2q\" class=\"_ezo\"><\/span><br \/>\nAgain.<span id=\"u_fetchstream_30_2r\" class=\"_ezo\"><\/span>.<span id=\"u_fetchstream_30_2s\" class=\"_ezo\"><\/span>.<span id=\"u_fetchstream_30_2t\" class=\"_ezo\"><\/span>\u00a0I never can do things like normal people do.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>UPDATE: Since I originally wrote this two weeks ago, things have happened. I got a call from the bank yesterday letting me know that yes, the card has been approved and is on it&#8217;s way.
