Who Am I?
I’m Batman!!!
OK. I’m just kidding. I’m not Batman. I look nothing like him, and my crime fighting skills suck!!!!
I’m a resident of sunny Fresno California. I’m a jack-of-all-trades…. Well, not all trades…. And my name isn’t Jack. It’s Mike. Alexander. I own my own pool service and spa repair compay, Forg’s Pool and Spa. I have a couple of teaching credentials, but no teaching job yet (California – nuff said). I work on cars and computers. I play bass guitar, sing, and am FINALLY learning to play the regular ol’ six string guitar, and now, mandolin. I’m in a couple of bands, one in Fresno, Acoustic Highway, and one in San Diego, RareForm. Sonicfrog, a blog I started way back in 2005, is my personal note pad where I write about stuff I find interesting, humorous, annoying, and anything in between. I alo post pictures and video when the mood strikes. Enjoy.

It appears you are from Fresno. I lived in Fresno/Clovis for 5 years, from 1996 to 2001. Frankly, I would not mind moving back to Clovis – very nice town.

Hi Mike,
Thanks for the comment back. Yes, please, add my blog to your links, and I would be most appreciative. As you note, we are not quite the Anthony Watt’s of the blog world, so a bit more traffic would be nice 🙂
I will add you to my blog list also. I just read your post about the first time changing a head gasket. Great stuff!

Just popped over here from GayPatriot. Saw your headline descriptor: “Exposing my faulty though processes”…to say nothing of your faulty spelling processes. On purpose?

Yes!… It’s a bit of an in-joke! I have a friend who pops in from time to time and gives me hell for any misspellings! I did it to annoy him. But he never caught it… And I forgot about it. 🙂
PS. I will never ever claim to be the best speller in the world. It’s a weakness I’ve always had. Part of the reason I started this blog was to improve that. It has definitely improved, but i still slip up from time to time. And typically I get in such a hurry that I post without proofreading. I deserve the occasional hell I get as a result of doing that.

If you’re referring me, I’ve never given you Hell. A bit of Purgatory, perhaps, but never Hell.
😉

We are offering all Fresno blogsters a chance to have their own show for a month on Central Valley Talk. That would give them a chance to see if they can turn their blog into a show. Let me know if you are interested and I can send you some available times. Check us out at http://www.centralvalleytalk.com.

I saw your talkbass post about Bill Tapia. I am permanently banned from talkbass but love hearing anything about Bill Tapia, as I played and recorded with him many times, and including shortly before he passed away. Friend me on facebook to see pictures!

Thanks for the heads up on the pics. I’ll check them out when I get the chance.

Thanks for your comment on my triangulation comment. And you’re right. Sting’s songs are a great example. The triangulation really kicks in when your singing and playing is duple against triple meters. Add in some contrary motion between the two parts and it’s like juggling, the inertia triples, once you get it happening.
