Uhm, Hello Indestructible Internet Blog Host Company.
Three days of posts have mysteriously disappeared. Gonna have to find out just what the heck is going on.

It’s really very good. Saw it last night. For the last year and a half I had been preparing myself to hate it…… yet last night I came out of the theater thoroughly pleased. I’m not going to give anything away, but I will say that even though it’s a prequel, it never falls into the “Star Wars” trap of trying to explain every little detail of the characters or stick so closely to the original series that you already know exactly whats going to happen at every moment. There is one character who threatens to become a Trekkie Ewok / R2D2 / Jar Jar Binks, but thank GOD it’s never given the time to do so.
The casting is great. Everyone does a fine job here. The guy who plays Dr. McCoy does an outstanding job. For me, the show stealer is Simon Pegg as Scotty. He absolutely NAILS it. Gotta do some push-ups and get ready for work now.
…. And, no one reverses the polarity, sends anything over a tachion beam, or realigns the dilithium crystals. I mean really, just how many times can you realign the dilithium crystals before you either start getting diminished returns for your efforts, or they simply blow themselves up in frustration for being jiggered with so much!
From the mouth of the GOP’s favorite “American Hero” Samuel Wurzelbacher:
People don’t understand the dictionary—it’s called queer. Queer means strange and unusual. It’s not like a slur, like you would call a white person a honky or something like that. You know, God is pretty explicit in what we’re supposed to do—what man and woman are for. Now, at the same time, we’re supposed to love everybody and accept people, and preach against the sins. I’ve had some friends that are actually homosexual. And, I mean, they know where I stand, and they know that I wouldn’t have them anywhere near my children. But at the same time, they’re people, and they’re going to do their thing.
Nice. Notice the past tense when he says “I’ve had some friends that are actually homosexual. Wonder what happened to them? More enlightenment here.
Go, Joe, Go!!!!!!!
I’ve been doing a good bit of blogging lately, and have decided to take a week off. I have one post I’m working on, about the condition of the American auto industry amid the government intervention, and after that, I’m gonna take a week off from the blog. There is stuff I want / need to do – one of which is record a couple of scratch tracks for some songs, and it will be easier without the distraction of trying to find stuff to blog on. Yes it does sometimes take more time than you realize.
I know exactly what’s gonna happen. Some HUGE political thing is going to pop up and I will be compelled to blog about it. But if something big happens, I will resist the temptation.
Keeping up with a national trend, another Fresno FM station has switched from a music format, to talk radio. And yet again, it’s conservative talk radio. KJZN dropped its smooth jazz format and started talking today as 105.5 “The Truth”. I have nothing against conservative talk radio per se, and I do like one of the shows on the list, Jerry Doyle, if only because he played Michael Garibaldi on the SciFi show Babylon 5. But it would be nice to have more variety on the talk side of things (this will be the third station in the area to broadcast Michael Savage), and I wonder – how many right wing formats will this market support? You have KMJ 580, which has been around for over 80 years, that like a billion years in radio years. Then in the last eight months, two other stations KYNO and KMJ FM have opened shop. Can Fresno support four Con Talkers. Doubt it, but as they say in the industry… Stay Tuned!!!
Yes, Cliff. You’re right. I DO have too much time on my hands!
Hey. He should be greatful. That’s one way to reduce global warming.
Attourney General Jerry Brown got pwnd. Someone stole the tires off his state owned car…. Why, in the middle of a budget implosion, is California still providing it’s employees with cars, on our dime? Why are they not selling off these cars to earn extra revenue? Oh, I forget. It’s California.
Great. Now a bastardized version of a Kenny Rodgers song is stuck in my head.
“You picked a fine time to leave me loose wheels….”
