Of course, many would consider Fox News Channel the first one, but this one is being touted as a first of its kind experiment. It’s called RightNetwork, and it’s partially funded by “Frasier” lead Kelsey Grammer. I don’t think I’ll watch… Too busy. But t’s always nice to see someone putting their money where their mouth and politics is (are?). Still, let the liberal whinig about this start in 3… 2… 1…
PS. Note too that they are starting small, and aiming to build an audience following. This is how you start a new network (see Fox Broadcasting Network 1986), and it’s EXACTLY THE OPPOSITE of what the founders of Dead Air America tried to do. Their stupidity in starting gigantic, WITHOUT BUILDING AN AUDIENCE BASE FIRST, set their cause back for a decade or more.
God, I haven’t geeked out in so long….. Mint Linux now features a version based on Debian, my favorite Linux distribution!
Now I just have to decide which of the five working computers in my house to install it on.
PS. I’m currently using a modified Peppermint Ice as my main Linux. Peppermint is extremely fast… SUPER FAST. It comes with a version of Open Box as the desk top, but, liking Gnome, I installed that desktop and use it as my main base of operations. Even though Gnome is a lot more of a resource hog than Open Box, I haven’t noticed any difference in speed or performance.
Here is the video where O’Donnell says the political opponents were acting like thugs. OK, we don’t see all the video – it’s edited (context and all). But this looks like thuggery to me, and it’s not coming from the random people with their cell phones.
Anyway, listen to the audio. She talks a lot, but doesn’t really say much. She just waists time. As Christopher Hitchens once said: “By all means, stupid people should be represented, but not by stupid people.”
Ann Althouse has noticed that the proposed amount of Obama latest stimulus package, $50 billion, is half the amount of the tax breaks being offered by the Democrat. The thing that kills me, is that for all the bluster of Democrats fighting against tax cuts because they don’t work to spur economic growth, every time the President and congress offers up one of the many tax break packages during this recession, they are admitting that they do.
It appears it works better for baseball pitchers than it does for bloggers. On the 40 year anniversary of Dock Ellis’s throwing a no hitter while tripping the merry-go-round, Andrew Sullivan manages to scribble this (in crayon presumably) on his blog this morning about Barrack Obama:
That’s the brutal truth and we have to face it. And if Americans thought they were voting for a savior, rather than a pragmatic president, they were deluding themselves.
We were deluding ourselves????? One wants to blurt out “My God Man, Didn’t You See The Campaign????”. But, of course we know he followed the campaign. Sullivan’s comments are more than delusional… My friends…. THIS is your brain on drugs!
PS. I find it sad that Obama picks Labor Day to give a campaign speech to his party. This was a campaign speech plain and simple. He is so partisan in his approach to everything, he doesn’t have it in him to give a speech to the American people.
“Those who are impotent and limp and gutless and they go on their anonymous — sources that are anonymous — and impotent, limp and gutless reporters take anonymous sources and cite them as being factual references, It just slays me because it’s so absolutely clear what the state of yellow journalism is today that they would take these anonymous sources as fact.”
Sarah Palin, quoted from the Yellow Journalism Extrordinare Sean Hannity Show.
Here is the article by the impotent and limp and gutless reporter Michael Joseph Gross. If I got the chance, I would simply have to ask him if he is impotent and limp and gutless, just for the heck of it! 🙂
