Tax Cuts Don’t Work To Fix The Economy…. Uhm……
Ann Althouse has noticed that the proposed amount of Obama latest stimulus package, $50 billion, is half the amount of the tax breaks being offered by the Democrat. The thing that kills me, is that for all the bluster of Democrats fighting against tax cuts because they don’t work to spur economic growth, every time the President and congress offers up one of the many tax break packages during this recession, they are admitting that they do.

I always felt that the TARP stimulus shouldn’t have gone to banks, it should have gone to families. They could have given every family in the US under a certain salary threshold $100,000. They would have paid their mortgages, bought cars, bought all sorts of other things, etc. Trickle-up economics. I think that would have done a LOT more for the economy than anything tried so far.
And, for those who still decided not to pay their mortgages, they deserve what they get.

If there is one thing that the Great Society and welfare programs and lotteries have taught us, it is that you can’t make someone rich by giving them money.
