Fiscal burdens like expensive occupational wars have got to end. There is no use of protecting the country if the debt you incur doing it destroys the very foundation from the inside and the nation comes crumbling down. The common complaint against the US is that we go in and “help”, then just leave. Well, now we’re being blamed for staying too long. It’s a damned if you do damned if you don’t situation.
