Bad Timing.

Seventy Two years to the day of the start of the government sanctioned pogrom against the Jews, the Greens in Germany are trying to purge another undesirable group from the German rank and file – Climate Skeptics. From unofficial resistance leader  Anthony Watts at WUWT:

When I first saw this I thought to myself “maybe posting this isn’t appropriate on Veterans Day”. Then, after additional reflection, I realized this is exactly what our American veterans and the allies fought for: freedom of speech and freedom from tyranny. The seeds of tyranny appear to be taking hold again in the German government at least when it comes to climate change issues…

Right smack on the anniversary of Kristallnacht, German Parliamentarians, in a frontal assault, are now openly calling out and branding scientists for the crime of scientific dissent. These out-of-control Parliamentarians are demanding that the German government take a position against dissenting views in climate science.

What follows makes McCarthyism look like a treasure hunt. What a number of zealous German Parliamentarians are calling for borders on a call to launch a science pogrom.

The climate dogmatists are finding it increasingly difficult to cope with the growing scepticism and dissent now spreading in Germany and Europe, and want to stamp it out – and now.

Thank God they weren’t smart enough to get around to this while their power was at its peak, and are only doing it as a response of their political decline.

Why?

The vid was almost certainly done after the Cars You Might Think… Yep.

It’s hard for the younger folks to understand just how breathtaking all these new computerized video effects were. The Cars vid was done much better. There is symmetry with the song and the actions being shown. The Hollywood Suite vid looks like it was rushed and thrown together, which it probably was, as their semi-hit single was unexpected.

Wonder If This Guy Will Make The Reinstated Olbermann’s “Worst Person List”?

The guy who said this:

“That Scott down there that’s running for governor of Florida. Instead of running for governor of Florida, they ought to have him [sic] and shoot him. Put him against the wall and shoot him. He stole billions of dollars from the United States government and he’s running for governor of Florida.

That would be Congressman Paul Kanjorski, the Pennsylvania Democrat who just lost his seat to a Republican.  I thought this kind of talk was the type of thing that only Tea Party’ers were supposed to do. Now I’m thinking if a Republican HAD said this…. Well, you know how the media would react. I’m sure  Kanjorski will apologize and all will be right with the world, because, you know, when you’re a liberal, an apology cures anything.

Oh, just to show just how disconnected Kanjorski is from reality, here is the next part of the quote:

“He’s a millionaire and a billionaire. He’s no hero. He’s a damn crook. It’s just we don’t prosecute big crooks.”

Uhm, there was this guy who’s last name was Maddof.  He was a pretty big crook. Then there was Ken Lay guy, I seem to recall he was pretty big too. And Jeff  Skillings. Bernie Ebbers anyone?
